Surrender
A poem I've been contemplating.
You layer my life with order.
At my thinnest moments, you refine.
I wrestle in the morning, am weary
in the evening.
YET,
you call.
My understanding
falls short.
My simple thoughts
cannot comprehend.
YET,
You lead me into
deeper
and
deeper
modes of surrender.

I love the second line “At my thinnest moments, you refine.” I’ve been in a season for several months of refinement, and the adjective “thinnest” resonates 💜
I like how you used word placement and spacing to add emphasis where you wanted it.
